The ViP211 is a single-tuner Dish Network HDTV MPEG-4 receiver with an ATSC off-air tuner.

The previously announced (in 2003) 211 for early Mitsubishi HDTV sets never saw production. This is a new receiver made available 12-15-05. The 411 is the same but lacks an ethernet port.

Features

• Replacement for the 311 and 811, initial release expected in Dec 2005
• Same interface as the 942
• Ethernet port - reserved for future use
• “ViP” means “Video over IP”
• Event timers: 20, raised to 64 with DVR conversion
• Install tip if 211 hangs on initial re-boot (SatelliteGuys)
